The carnival is the most popular tradition of the Dominican Republic. Occurs from the colony, on the eve of the Christian Lent, when the inhabitants of Santo Domingo disguised as an imitation of European carnival.
Among all peoples of the Dominican Republic is a tradition to celebrate the feast of national independence which is the color and beauty of the carnival. on this eve all young people use their imagination to create beautiful costumes to go to exhibit wings streets of our town and proudly enjoy our holiday.
COTUI
Cotuí common is the head of the province of Sanchez Ramirez. It is one of the oldest cities in the Old World, was founded in 1510 by Rodrigo de Trujillo, sorted by Nicolas de Ovando, who was then the governor of Hispaniola. Cotuí was the name of the Aboriginal leader who ruled in that area.
